The Joyce Hill Column
Prof. Joyce Hill is an international authority on the transmission of Christian culture in early medieval Europe. Now retired from the University of Leeds, but still very active in research, she draws on her expertise to write a monthly article. At first these were just for St Aidan’s, but their popularity has grown and they are now published by several churches. Joyce has been an active member of our congregation since the early 1970s. She also serves at diocesan and national level as an adviser in the selection process for ordination candidates.
