The Journey to Christmas

The Journey to Christmas – a seasonal celebration of songs, poems, carols and readings.

Sunday 7th December 5.15-6.30pm

The  singers of St Aidan’s Church and the CHESS Children’s Choir (choristers from  Bankside; Bracken Edge; Harehills; Hillcrest; Holy Rosary and St Anne’s, and Hovingham Primary School) will be lifting the rafters of St Aidan’s in December, with their seasonal singing, to celebrate this magical time of year.  They will be joined by musicians from the Royal British Legion Brass Band to perform a repertoire of music old and new; including favourites such as ‘Away in a Manger’, ‘Silent Night’, ‘Go tell it on the Mountain’ and ‘Mary had a baby’, as well as seasonal songs in Latin and German.

We anticipate over a 100 singers taking part in this special event and hope that you will be able to join us too.  Refreshments will be provided at the end by the Friends of St Aidan’s – mince pies and hot drinks to help raise funds for the church and local community.

We hope that you will be able to attend!
